Blog #1

I hope you have enjoyed looking around my little corner of the web. This will be the first in an occasional series of blogs as I try and make sense of the world and what is going on in the world around me.

I am 59 with three heart attacks and host of other "health and age related issues" to consider and virtually unemployable. I have gone back into education and am studying photography, I have interviews at five universities for my next step to a BA (Hons) and already have plans for a research masters...

The first thing is to thank my partner and soul mate Ruby. She has nursed me through near fatal illness, bullied me into carrying on, supported some of my dafter schemes like running a pub, she has laughed and cried with me and supported me with my photography she has been both model and assistant. Life with me has been a big ask, but she is still smiling...just.

At College we are preparing for the hand in of various projects at the end of the first term of the second year, so far I have created original works joining text with images, I have bound my own books and created a web site.

There is so much more to do, I can't wait to meet the challenges head on.
